Jon Kauffman

Jon Kauffman‘s feature-film debut, the prison-set romantic thriller Heartlock, opens in select theaters on January 25, 2019. Kauffman is an award-winning filmmaker whose short films have played at film festivals throughout the United States, including at the Tribeca Film Festival. Jon is currently writing his follow-up feature-film, while also developing The Nation, a one-hour dramatic TV series. Jon received his M.F.A. from Columbia University’s Graduate Film Program and received an A.B. with honors from Occidental College in Los Angeles. In addition, Jon apprenticed with, and assisted, Darren Aronofsky for two years, working alongside him on The Wrestler and Black Swan.
