Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is a Mississauga, Ontario native who made headlines when she landed the role of Devi in Netflix’s Never Have I Ever after a worldwide search of over 15,000 actors. The 10-episode series is a coming-of-age comedy about the life of a modern first-generation Indian American teenage girl, loosely based on Mindy Kaling’s upbringing. Never Have I Ever premiered April 27, 2020 and was renewed for a second season on July 1, 2020.
