Jenny Slate

Jenny Slate had her breakthrough role in writer-director Gillian Robespierre’s 2014 comedy Obvious Child as Donna, a twenty-something comedienne whose unplanned pregnancy forces her to confront the realities of independent womanhood for the first time. She is now starring in Landline, her second feature in collaboration with Robespierre. Her other film credits include Joshy, My Blind Brother and the forthcoming Aardvark and The Polka King, while she also voiced the characters of Bellwether in Disney’s Zootopia and Gidget in The Secret Life of Pets. Slate’s TV credits include Kroll Show, Bob’s Burgers, Parks and Recreation, Girls, Saturday Night Live, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Bored to Death. She is also the co-creator with Dean Fleischer-Camp of Marcel the Shell, the beloved character from the Marcel The Shell short films which became viral sensations, and the best-selling children’s books which those shorts spawned.
