Heather Matarazzo is a critically acclaimed and Independent Spirit Award-winning actor, whose career has spanned over two decades. Having recently transitioned behind the camera as a writer, director and producer, her debut as a filmmaker, The Avant Gardener – a visual album based around the music of Lindsay Katt to which she and four other filmmakers each contributed two shorts films – which just premiered at the Rhode Island International Film Festival, where it won Best Experimental Short.
