Pictureplane is a Brooklyn-based musician, visual artist, fashion designer, and generally eerie figure. (This past summer, I saw his dungeon synth side project KLOKHET play a spooky church in Queens.) His latest record, Sex Distortion, is out today via Music Website, so it felt right for him to share a few tracks with us to help soundtrack this Halloween weekend. Undeniably catchy and perfect gothic synth pop. All in español. From Chicago. I would love to play some shows with these guys.
Cage — “Weather People”
Suspiria sampling indie rap from the early 2000s. I’ve been obsessed with this beat and song since I was a teenager. Seemed fitting for a dark themed Halloween playlist. Cage is one of the most talented and underrated rappers ever.
