Gerard Way has been making comics since he was a five-year-old with broken crayons. Today his best-known work is writing The Umbrella Academy for Dark Horse Comics, which won both the Eisner Award for Best Limited Series, and the Harvey Award for Best New Series. He co-wrote The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, also for Dark Horse. He was also the frontman of My Chemical Romance until its end in 2013. He lives in Los Angeles and continues to make music.
