Michael Chernus is an award-winning stage, TV and film actor best known for playing Cal Chapman on Netflix’s original series Orange is the New Black and Phineas Mason (aka The Tinkerer) in Spider-Man: Homecoming. A graduate of the Juilliard School’s Drama Division, Chernus was originally a stage actor, playing the lead in Annie Baker’s 2010 play The Aliens and winning an Obie Award the following year for his performance in Lisa Kron’s In the Wake. His film work includes Men in Black 3, Captain PhillipsMistress America, The Bourne Legacy, Jack and Diane and Complete Unknown, and he is currently appearing in both Joe Swanberg’s Netflix series Easy and the Amazon show Patriot. He lives in New York City.
