Cary Fukunaga

Cary Fukunaga is a director of feature films, TV and commercials. He directed season one of HBO’s smash hit True Detective, starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. His Jane Eyre (2011), with Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender, earned an Academy Award nomination, and Rolling Stone described it as a fresh rendition of the classic novel for today’s generation. His first feature, Sin Nombre (2009), was honored across the film festival circuit including winning the prestigious Directing Award at Sundance.
